After endorsing a cola, reigning star Ram Charan Tej is set to promote a mobile 

network, Docomo, in Andhra Pradesh. He is reportedly been paid Rs 2 crore for the 

campaign.

The Gen X star will replace B-town star Ranbir Kapoor in Docomo’s regional 

edition and would be taking light-hearted potshots at rival networks. Although, 

sources close to the star were tight-lipped about the “deal”, industry sources claim 

that he has already done a photo shoot at a city hotel for the ad. Industry sources 

added that Ram Charan Tej has revised his pay packet and is now charging Rs 8 

crore per film, next only to superstars Mahesh and Jr NTR.
